7-Propositions on the Question, "Was Judas a Friend of Jesus Christ?"

A Judas Kissing Betrayal of Jesus

Mt 26:49-51
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
49 Immediately Judas went to Jesus and said, “Hail, Rabbi!” and kissed Him. 50 And Jesus said to him, “Friend, do what you have come for.” Then they came and laid hands on Jesus and seized Him.
51 And behold, one of those who were with Jesus reached and drew out his sword, and struck the slave of the high priest and cut off his ear.

1.)  Here Jesus Christ uses the word "Friend" to mean "Enemy."

2.)  Here Jesus uses the word "Friend" in God-speaking sarcasm.

3.)  Here Jesus shows He is the self-existent Potter: namely, He owns the rights of everyone so He says as a ultimate second cause "do what you have come for."

4.)  Here Jesus before His betrayal hears Judas say "Hail, Master or Rabbi."  Is this respect?  It is a ministry of deceit, because if Judas obeyed Jesus as his Master he would not betray hum unto eternal damnation.

5.)  The kiss of Judas is like turning the kiss to the Son on its head to establish the denial to appease Him in the Psalm, but it is not that Jesus was deceived by Judas but that He is working out His purpose unto justice through a means of sin as the ultimate Potter to die to put sin to death by His Cross.

6.)  There is a sense where a kiss is meant for good purposes in family bond of love and early church fellowship, but this bond of love is either seen in love of Paul's kiss to a brother or sister but also for Judas a kiss that is a razor unto death.

7.)  In a redemptive sense, a Spirit-born person is a true friend of Jesus, but a person under Satanic control is an friend unfriend that is no friend touching a true redemption that is not a counterfeit unto falsehood but a counterfeit unto truth.
